SPRING/SUMMER 2023

‘BACK TO THE TIME’

YIRANTIAN 23SS collection continues to portray certain female character that is true-to-herself and attractive. This collection amplifies the girls living under the spotlight of 1950-1960s. They are a generation starting to have more self-awareness, over step the boundaries, and be more honest to themselves.
Some neutrality is given by the use of less female-identifying cutting. Stretch-woven cotton tweed in stark contrast with solid leather decorated with fluid silk ribbons. Powerful lines extend to flexible mesh. Featuring textiles of this season include classis peak-lapel suits, delicate and soft neck ribbon, rhinestone embroidered mesh under the sequin-embellished fringe, feather-light velvet tassel. The contrast of textile and silhouette expresses distinct attitude of the wearer.Blurry rose-print is contrasted by the sharp tailoring, cut-out floral lace detailing covers on acetate fabrics, delicate joint of fabrics dresses are unique and eye-catching. Clean lines appear to be sharper and details to be richer with these processes.
YIRANTIAN 23SS turns a restorative eye on classic references. The collection blurs the boundaries between bones and skins. It comes to a point that women with the self-awareness and full ownership of the body and identity are the most elegant.
